In me

Look into a darkened room
looking through a broken glass
I can see a life
I can see a shattered past
see the mist of breath
the air so cold
and a life so lonely
without someone to hold

how far have they fallen
is it too late to get up now
how do I tell them
that you can turn it all around

Lord let me be
an instrument to You
let Your light shine
in everything I do
take my life
if it be Your will
all I ask is, in me let them see You

We’ve all had our problems
skeleton’s to hide
things we’re ashamed of
I know I’ve had mine
but You lifted me up
from the mirey clay
sat my feet to running
You showed me the way

If I could do only one thing
while in this life
let me live for You Lord
and show the world Your light
