Seems I have started a debate with my good friend Nick. I am not sure he is getting my point….heck maybe I am not making my point clear. Who know’s??? Anyhow, I thought since Nick posted a rather long reply to my post….I would share it here. I am sure he will get last word…because I hope if\/when he replies again…I hope it does not prompt one from me. I do not enjoy the world view aspect of things. LOL<\/p>\n

\nRedneck inference – No I was not offended by it\u2026.I felt you were trying to hold yourself up to a self righteous level and down play the American people in general\u2026.Georgia has some very nice people\u2026.and having lunch with some folks does not make you more cultured than a guy who has never left New York City.<\/p>\n
Relying on western media – Really? I thought I made most of my points without relying on western media. The story of the bombing was in a book i just finished and I researched it on the net since it had me thinking a little. Fox & CNN are not my resources for my points – yet to their backing\u2026who cares about the other side. When I flip through one of their channels I see them covering what our men and women are doing over there, their status, every fault they can dream up – if anything you\u2019re right the media is covering a side, but more on a side far from the majority of American people.<\/p>\n

Man – this is the one that has me wanting to do a post\u2026.but I will try to keep from it since I am at work and have tried to finish this reply three times already. So – are you going pacifist now? I feel that you have taken this out of context\u2026.maybe it is just my interpretation, but do you honestly feel that is what Jesus meant? I understand murder, I understand love – but was Jesus a pacifist? Is Father God? I don\u2019t think Jesus intended for us to take attacks, to the scale of September 11th and turn the other cheek and embrace those that did it with love – do you?<\/p>\n
As I said before – it is not the \u201cMusilim\u201d people as a whole – not even the fact that their faith is wrong (again according to my Christian faith) – I was speaking of the terrorist\u2026or as you pointed out Fundamentalist. Musilim faith is not Christian faith – no matter how \u201cclose\u201d to our belief they might be. \u201cSomewhat recognize Jesus for who he is\u2026\u201d does not cut it with Jesus.<\/p>\n
My statement \u201cTo try and make the Muslim people look as if they are almost saints is wrong\u201d – Was a bit quick. I\u2019ll make no public excuses for that. However I will rephrase a little. To try and hold the Muslim people up to a higher standard and downplay the \u201csouthwestern US\u201d & Georgia folks – is wrong.<\/p>\n
I would say that eating lunch with them would not change my views. I stand by the point I was trying to make, as always. I\u2019ve eaten a many lunches with criminals – though we laughed and had conversation -they were still criminals to me when we finished the meal.<\/p>\n
I love you too bro, and I love the fact that you can see the world differently each day and through faith try to make understadning of it. I would echo some of your comments without a stutter. However, I feel this is like a first kiss\u2026maybe once the \u201cI\u2019m in love\u201d feeling has died down your statements, thoughts, and feelings will have changed somewhat.<\/p>\n
