\"\"<\/a>Doug, Nick, and I got together today on a bit of a short notice. We planned it the evening before. We decided we would do some song writing. So we did.<\/p>\n

Been a while since we had got together to write. This time we actually had some sort of method to our madness. (Suddenly I had a flashback to the old days and started singing “Can I play with Madness” by Iron Maiden. LOL man I worry me!)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Anyway here’s how we did the day. Nick and Doug showed up around noon and we each played some idea’s we had for songs. Then we decided we would go eat a bit, and take the notebooks just incase something came up in conversation. That was kind of a waist of time, because when we eat….thats what we do…eat! LOL<\/p>\n

We came back and I asked if we could work on one I had started the other night. They all agreed and was ready to try it. So we started talking about things we did when we were younger and the concept of the song. Scribbling stuff down as we went along. Then we hit a bit of a block.<\/p>\n

We then went up to the studio, jammed a little bit and then turned our focus back to the song until we had what we think is good enough for now. I say that, because we are pretty sure something will change when we go to record it for real. The recording I uploaded to this site is just a rough recording we did for memory sake.<\/p>\n

Stealing Daddy’s smokes, cruising main<\/em><\/p>\n

picking up girls after the football game<\/em><\/p>\n

probably get in trouble but it’s worth the pain<\/em><\/p>\n

all for that first kiss<\/em><\/p>\n

We were worried ’bout a million things<\/em><\/p>\n

like football games and homecoming queens<\/em><\/p>\n

johnny, jack and ol jim beam \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0we were kings to the girls we like<\/em><\/p>\n

bon fires and howling at the moon<\/em><\/p>\n

staying out late and sleepin till noon<\/em><\/p>\n

We liked fast cars and fast girls too<\/em><\/p>\n

Man, we were reckless and young<\/em><\/p>\n

lookin back i can remember now<\/em><\/p>\n

i can almost hear the sound<\/em><\/p>\n

daddy sayin boy one day you’ll have to settle down<\/em><\/p>\n

trust me boy you’ll see<\/em><\/p>\n

now i Pull in from work and his mommas mad<\/em><\/p>\n

she said “go on and tell your dad”<\/em><\/p>\n

thinking now, those times weren’t that bad<\/em><\/p>\n

football then college it came to soon<\/em><\/p>\n

borrowing money and sneaking booze<\/em><\/p>\n

just being reckless and young<\/em><\/p>\n

back then we thought we had it so bad<\/em><\/p>\n

they say youth is wasted on the young<\/em><\/p>\n

wounldn’t do anything different wouldn’t take it back<\/em><\/p>\n

and now their time has come to be<\/em><\/p>\n
