My local news and opinion

“A girl told family members she had been raped on several occasions between April 24-May 8 while playing at a friend’s house…”

This was one of the headlines in the Police report section of the paper this week. Now, I have been in law enforcement for a while, and I am understanding, and I try to be nice….BUT If I was raped….just one time….I would not return to that same place, with the same group of people. Sorry, just not gonna do it. “…while playing with at a friends house…” I guess it’s just me but…

In other news: “A MAN HELD A KNIFE TO THE THROAT of an acquaintance Sunday morning while the two were at Jones Lake Park, Martin Luther King Drive. The acquaintance was sitting on a bench when the other man held the knife to him, rifling through his pockets and looking for money. Several hours after the assault, the acquaintance reported the incident to police.”

OK…again, is it just me or what is up with this “acquaintance” crud. That makes him sound friendly…he had a knife to the guys throat, and was robbing him…then this dummy waits “several hours” to report it. I think we should use some of this tax money that goes toward some stupid research of dolpihns and sea turtles for a goverment funded “Common Sense 101” class. OK I am going on about my business now….LOL
