July 2nd weekend blast

Oh yeah…July 4th Independence day happened also. The 2nd is my birthday, so I tend to be a little bias towards what all the celebration is about.

Pulled all my onions – see the pictures. I gave a few to my neighbors and a few guys at work. Will be planting the same next year. They did well.

The neighborhood we live in puts on a heck of an Independence day party. Parade, fireworks, food, live bands, and all the good stuff. We did not really go to the main show. Spent some time with the neighbors and all. Made for a long night. Had some friends come by for the birthday thing. We put some things on the smoker and enjoyed the neighborhood fireworks display which lasted approximately 31 minutes by my watch. See videos. Keagan captured some of it on the video. The first video is of the main show. The one with the house is the next night. It is our house in the video – she was at the neighbors and thought we were the ones popping the fireworks. Only down side to all this is the fact that for a solid week sleep is a little hard. Sounds like a war movie is playing in the living room.

Scroll past the videos for the pictures!!!!!

I also added some pictures of our vacation spot. I will have more I am sure upon our return.

Other than that – we have hit the triple digits in heat. At least we are not setting the record for number of days like we did a couple years ago. The only record set so far this year is for the hottest on record. Beating out the 107 F back in 1940. Yeah!
