Remove my blog???
Well, as some of you have noticed, the site has been down for about 3 days. Was down completely, then suspended for two days…why? Well let me vent on you for a while.
Seems that my hosting company decided to do some upgrading and something went wrong. They brought all the sites back up, but my personal blog was still down. By the next day it was showing suspended! I thought this was just a mistake and could be remedied rather quickly. I thought wrong.
They claim my site has been crashing their server by using too much cpu and ram. They told me it was do to poor code. So after telling them that my site is just bblog with a custom template, they decided it could come back up if I looked into it.
Now the only thing I can find is some comment spam I am getting from poker sites….I don’t play poker, and it is really annoying. So I contacted the developers of bblog, to which they responded “there are some ways to stop the spam, but not much for 0.7.4 other than moderation. But that won’t solve your problem, as it’s all the requests that are the problem.”
Well I am all for stopping any of it I can. So now I am going to try and contact one of the people who use bblog and use the image verification for comments. If that turns out to be a dead end I am going to remove the comment section all together.
Anyway, almost to 1000 miles on my bike. Weather has been good for riding, and this weekend is looking to be great. A friend at the gym is looking to buy one now, and Nick should be getting one any day now. Jack should be home again in May so we’re planning a good ride when he comes in.
I am also looking forward to taking the boat out to the lake. It has not even been in the water this year. So gonna do some fishing, tubing, and soaking up the sun.
Get ready for a change in design for my site (clarksite.com) and the band’s site (NewSonBand.com). They are both due for a new one.
The band is making ready for a trip to the studio. This time it will be a little more expensive though. Pray for us, the CD, and the ministry.
Later,
JC
