Getting ready for hunting season

I love to hunt, fish, be outdoors. I guess after spending most of my work week in an office, it lets me get back to my primal side a little. I get to survive. Not in the sense that I run out there with only my Macgyer knife and spend 4 weeks in the wilderness; but in the sense that I am hunting an animal out far from any town, and need to make sure I don’t do something stupid and not get home. Those that know me, know I have nearly failed at that last part a couple times. Maybe it is just being out there in the fresh air and elements. Who knows – I love to hunt and be out there.

So, with hunting season nearly here (dove season is already in), we decided we needed to get the new hunting area ready. William found a great spot this year. We still have access to the other spots we hunted in the past, but at this location we have more freedom to make it what we want it. We took advantage of that by planning and working the area for a few days. That’s what I have been up too. You’ll see the pictures in a few.

The kids have all gone back to school. Keagan is a senior this year and driving her new car to school. Kaden is in 6th grade. It is a little stressful on him, but he is taking it is stride. We are working a plan to make that better for him. Ava Grace is at a new daycare and loving it. She just had her 3rd birthday.

Oh yeah, the “girls” (Chickens) are doing great. We are getting 7-8 eggs a day. Kaden is getting ready to sell a few. I ordered some egg cartons for him.

Well, enough of my ramblings – let’s do pictures with captions. Warning, there are a lot of pictures for this post and a few videos.
