Trip to the East side…

I miss those pines sometimes
I miss those pines sometimes

Well, I made it back from my trip to the east side of Texas. Like I said before it has been a while since I was down there.

I actually got to visit with the family a little while we worked on packing everything my parents had accumulated over the 16 years they’ve lived in the house. I feel sorry for whom ever they talk into helping them unload, since I could not make it back down for that date.

I did a little, unsuccessful hunting while there. Though nothing was added to the freezer, it was nice to sit out in those East Texas Piney woods and take in the sights, sounds, and smells I have been away from for so long. I almost felt a bit claustrophobic. LOL

I wanted to catch up with a few friends, however, I did not have time with all the work we had going during the day. I’ll make sure that is completed the next time I am down.

Well, I will just post some pictures I shot while driving back to big West Texas. Enjoy!

We've come a long way. We actually lived in this house when we moved from San Antonio to Wells. My youngest brother was born while we lived here.

A lovely site. I know I am on the short end of the trip home when I start seeing cotton fields and windmills.
