All is well…well is all
Well, the pre-approval process is running its course, the church is awesome out here, and well the town quiet.
I’ve looked at three houses – decided against one already and almost made up my mind one the one I think I will get. Not trying to impress anyone makes this process easier. I think sometimes we all get caught up in the “keeping up with the Jones'”. We try to impress people with our cars, houses, clothes….material things. I am fighting that off and looking to be happy with a good home, and a budget that will allow me to do whatever it is I may need to do.
So, the bank is doing a pre-approval process for me, so I can make offers on the house I decide on. Still looking as it is, may find something else. LOL So please keep me in prayer about a home.
I went to church Wednesday night, it was really nice. Instead of the normal church service, we simply sang some praise songs, worshipped, and then had some prayer requests – prayed and then was dismissed. Now, I am not trying to say it was good because the service was short. It was normal length, it was just nice to see the mold broken a little. To see how everyone prayed and worshipped. I really like this church and hope to be of service to them somehow.
This morning we had a Men’s breakfast/prayer meeting. It was nice to be there for that. Really a good group of guys. All unique in their own way, but all sharing the same purpose to be servants of Christ. I can already feel a good growth and more disciplined relationship for me with Christ because of their fellowship.
Post, TX…all I can say is, this town is quiet. LOL I am serious people. You hardly see anyone, never hear the loud music, or the other normal nuisances of a town. LOL I made a phone call last night at 9PM…and to get a good signal as well as a little more privacy I drove into town and parked in the bank parking lot. I saw two people walking, they used the pay phone, and went back to where they came from. Other than some light traffic passing through, the police were the only others I saw. LOL I think they roll the streets up at dark around here.
Anyway, I have Nick’s youngest son, Jude, 2, up and sitting here with me while I type this. He is saying something about cartoons. I am begging him and promising him I will turn them on in just a second when I finish this post. He is not taking that as an answer. LOL
Pray form my mother as she travels back from Ohio to Lufkin today.
So until later,
James
