My 35th, and 4th!

I have officially turned 35 years old. Family and friends made it another great birthday too. I received all kinds of birthday wishes, and gifts. Everything from rice-krispy treats, Harley Davidson merch & parts, to a new iPhone 4.

Some of the gifts came in the form of good old US bills, so I decided to put that towards things I was wanting for the bike and all. I am not trying to brag or list stuff just to say I have it – this blog is so I can look back one day and remember – if I can remember how to get to this site. LOL

I received:

Pepper’s traditional Rice-Krispy Treats

Apple iPhone 4

Road King Classic Floor board covers

Lean back license plate bracket

Saddle bag guard rail bags

Two Harley Davidson T-shirts

Harley Davidson belt and buckle

In the pics below you can see what the bike looks like now. It has changed a lot since I got it. I now have a quick release mount for the tour pack (trunk) – and 3 different seats – so it lets me convert the bike quickly depending on the ride I am about to take. It has been raining here for several days and it seems it will be here for another week – so nothing to do but work on the bike. From the looks of the pictures I need to polish it up a little – dirty.

With the iPhone, and the TomTom app – all i need to do is find the correct mount – and I’ll have tunes, gps, and calls all while cruising down the road at 80 mph. What else could you ask for.

All this was not without one of my “Clark” fits. LOL The damn fasteners that Harley Davidson uses these days are crap. Most likely they are trying to keep their heads above water in these economical times and purchase them from the cheapest bidder. I am not the only one griping about them, so maybe they’ll listen. Lesson learned – buy your own fasteners and throw HD’s in the junk bin.

Thanks to everyone for a great birthday. I was extremely happy with all the Facebook comments, birthday wishes, and gifts. Kaden even enjoyed Pepper’s rice-krispy treats with me.

We had a great 4th of July celebration with friends and family too. Kaden did not care for the fireworks though – he said his mom was a booty and daddy was his best friend in the whole world. He was ready to go home when they got loud. LOL On the way home we kept asking him to look out the window to see them. He kept saying “No, No, I said no, we need to go home.” Hmmm, I bet that changes. LOL

I don’t have the iPhone in my possession yet, AT&T screwed my wife’s order up – to the point she was almost crying. We resolved it and I should have it this week. No worries, I’ve waited until the 4th generation before I decided I needed one anyway. I can wait.
