Oh it’s Christmas again!!!!
Believe it or not, I sent the iPad back to Apple. Not because I did not love it…but because I needed a new amp. It was my wife’s idea and in turn is my Christmas present. My Vox took a dump, and I am frankly fed up with circuit board amps and their reliabilty. Now, before you send me some comment about how circuit boards are more reliable, or what ever…just shut up!….I don’t want to hear it…I have my made up that a good old amp that I can easily work on, is full of tubes, and has stories to tell…is far better. So, now that I have that out of the way…let me introduce my newest concubine.
She is a roughly 34 year old, seen the road, traveled there, played that song, beautiful Fender Deluxe Reverb. She’s been taken well care of, but the outside shows the wear of the road she has traveled. She is a Silverface and will most likely end up with a little changes to the circuit, leaning toward the blackface, and maybe a recover on the outside, but for now…she’ll do just fine. She was missing the reverb/vibrato pedal – so I could not turn the vibrato on. I have a new one on the way. The other girls love her too…well except the real wife…she got a little tired of hearing her sing tonight. LOL
