New address…almost!

Well, we had a good weekend and have a new address….kinda…just got to get it built. Got some of the preliminary steps on the house completed so they can start building – got to hang out with some friends and South First Band….

Jace and I were in Lubbock at 10AM, and went straight to the office where we had to pick out tile color, grout color, brick color, cabinet color, carpet color, granite color, paint color, ….color, color, and more color. LOL We did this until around lunch, broke and grabbed a biscuit, then went back and finished with the color picking. Then it was time to read a bunch of papers and sign them. Then numbers came out within the budget we had set. So we feel pretty good about it all. It will probably take until around the end of August to get it completed.

We’ll be doing some stuff ourselves, to save money….LOL …plus they were wanting more than we wanted to pay them to do it….such as the phone, network, and cable wiring. The attic decking, etc. We’ll handle this ourselves. I just hope it is not while we’re in Jamaica. That would suck.

Then after that we did some shopping in Lubbock, booked a motel room, and then picked up South First Band. We all went to eat with Mario, Leann, Israel, and Amber(Mario’s brother and girlfriend…uhh his brother’s girlfriend). We had a good time while eating….telling some funny stories. Then it was off to the Blue Light.

South First Band rocked the place as usual. I helped pimp some merchandise for them and kicked back with my friends. We were all using this as a pre-jamaica trip warm up. So yeah we had a good time.

After closing down the club, we sent South First back to my ghetto apartment in Post …hey it was free for them..so it was good. Jace and I headed over to Mario and Leann’s. We hung out for a few more hours then decided none of us could stay awake any longer…I think the sun was about to come up. So it was off to the Best Western. LOL Thank God I did not have to drive all the way back to Post. I was completely tired…getting old now days. LOL

11Am checkout times….they…SLURP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not want to get up. We milled around Lubbock for a while, went and ate…and talked about how nice it will be once we actually live here….

Anyway….since my soon to be wife wants to start blogging…I won’t still all her thunder and post everything…I’m sure she’ll post something soon…
