Gratitude – get some!

Gratitude – get some!

militarypolicestate.jpgGratitude, appreciation, or thankfulness is a positive emotion or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or will receive.

Freedom (political), the right or the capacity of self-determination as an expression of the individual will.

Sacrifice, used metaphorically to describe selfless good deeds for others, or a short term loss in return for a greater gain.

Go back and read them again, all three then continue reading the post.

The first one, Gratitude, you should posess an abundance of…for many things.

The second, Freedom, if your an American, you have rather you think you do or not.

The third, Sacrifice, has been made for you many times over. From our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, to the soldiers on foreign shores, to the Police, and firefighters in your hometowns.

My ‘rant’ is based off these damn idiots that can sit here in this country, pissing and moaning about how wrong it is that our soldiers do this, or Police do that…etc.etc.etc.

I can speak on behalf of the Police, I have family and friends that served this great country in the military, and honestly say…sometimes we did not like the work put before us on a given day. But we did it, we knew it was for a better cause, we knew it was our ever small sacrifice that kept Freedom alive. All this without expecting an ounce of Gratitude to be thrown in the mix to sweeten things up.

I am asking you, when you sit there and gripe about this country, or the current situation in your home town or overseas…to think about those that are there doing the job only a few can do.bush.jpg

Then I want you to watch the video at the bottom of this post. See the pictures, here the lyrics, and meditate on them for a bit more.

Then pop over to this website and send our troops a thank you card (again FREE). Let’s say thanks

Send a some cookies down to the local Police department (no dough-nutts…they might take it wrong LOL) or your local fire department. Don’t say “well I’ve never had them do anything for me.” or “all they ever did for me was write me a ticket.”

Think about it people…and if you still don’t like it….know that it is those people that protect the very thing that gives you the right to piss and moan.

Merry Christmas & I hope you have a great new FREE year! Watch the video – click the link:
