Christmas times a comin’

Yes sir. I love this time of year. Not just because of the presents either…though they do add to the mix.

What I love about this time of year:

Big spike buckHunting – This year I bagged 3 (Spike buck, doe, and a nubbin’ buck) “Ya can’t eat antlers!” It was the same hunting crew from last year, Mario and Tyler. We had a good time as usual. The weather was worse than last year though. Waking up to a tent covered in ice2007 Deer Camp and yelling a the other tent “guys I am starting the truck so we can thaw out! SO wake up!!!”…is not how I like to start my day.

Family & Friends – Yes…I can tolerate them and put differences aside for about 30 minutes this time of year. The kids love the entire aurora that surrounds them. I use the Santa Claus pitch to help keep them in line. “Santa is watching you!”

Music – Not that I am a Christmas music buff or something….in fact it gets on my nerves a little….but this time of year you hear music all over the place. I like to make up my own verses to the old traditional songs. Plus when all the family and friends are around we all break out the instruments and play a few tunes.

Time – the sign that another year has come to an end and you are one year closer to retirement and death.. This always cheers me up. LOL

Sorry we celebrated Leeann and Misty’s birthday this past weekend. I wanted to post a pic.

So , I’ll end my little reasons why I love this time of year and tell you what we have planned this season. We are flying Mom and Daddy out here and Jace’s parents are coming up. We have some friends coming over for eating on Christmas day….Nick, Pepper, Aaron, Jude, Mario, Leeann, Ethan, Tyler, Niki, Juan, Misty….just who ever shows up.

It is bound to be a fun time….everyone can make fun of each other…laugh, eat some good food…and kick back and watch the game.

So from mine to yours Merry Christmas and may God continue to bless you throughout the new year.

****NOTE**** I’ll update on who got what for gifts after the big birthday celebration is over!!!

I leave for Gardner, Colorado on Dec. 30th for a business trip, which kinda slerps….oh well good money. I’ll be sure to update the site with some pics and all……if I don’t freeze to death. LOL
