Tom Cruise Again!!!

OK folks! sorry if I keep echoing old news, but this one really has me hooked. Tom Cruise is all over the place these days and I can’t help but read about it and post some of it for you all to read up on in one convinent place… with my little comments of course.

He even made an appearance on Tuesday’s BET Awards show as a presenter. Uhh, I hope he knows it is a predominately black audience…that probably does not want to hear/see his Scientology, or Katie Holmes attitude.

I read that a group of disgruntled moviegoers have set up an online petition addressed to the film’s director, Steven Spielberg. The petition informs Spielberg that those who have signed the petition are planning on boycotting the film due to what they consider to be Tom Cruise’s ‘abhorrent behavior.’

The petition states several areas in which this group feels Cruise has acted irresponsibly. They note his ‘mean-spirited decision to use Brooke Shields as an example’ of the perils of psychiatry, calling this ‘unforgivable.’ Additionally, they take issue with his belief in Scientology, and his continued flaunting of his relationship with Katie Holmes, which the petition calls a ‘pathetic, juvenile, attention mongering display.’

So far, nearly 4000 people have signed the petition, adding comments such as ‘I would have gone to see this movie had Tom Cruise not offended all of my senses and my intelligence on the Today Show. Matt Lauer has gained a new level of my respect for not just knocking him off his seat!’

Asked in an interview with the tabloid daily Bild if he believed in aliens, Cruise said: “Yes, of course. Are you really so arrogant as to believe we are alone in this universe?”

“Millions of stars, and we’re supposed to be the only living creatures? No, there are many things out there, we just don’t know,” Cruise, 42, said in the interview published in German.

A group billing itself as a “psychiatric watchdog” is backing up Tom Cruise’s controversial comments to Matt Lauer about psychiatry and psychiatric drugs. Oh, and by the way, the “watchdog” group was formed by the Church of Scientology.

On a recent “Today Show” appearance, the “War of the Worlds” star angrily blasted the use of drugs such as Ritalin, and told Lauer that there’s no such thing as a chemical imbalance that leads to maladies such as depression.

On Monday, the Citizens Commission on Human Rights issued a statement saying that the high-profile Scientologist was right on with his diagnosis.

“Tom Cruise’s remarks on NBC’s Today Show represent a growing public awareness about the national crisis of children and adults being prescribed mind-altering drugs,” it said, going on to back up specific points made by Cruise: “There’s no biological imbalance,” it quotes a medical expert as saying. “When people come to me and they say, ‘I have a biochemical imbalance,’ I say, ‘Show me your lab tests.’ There are no lab tests. So what’s the biochemical imbalance?”

This seems like a carefully orchestrated PR campaign for the church of Scientology. I guess Tom was man of the hour, and beat out John Travolta as church PR man.

Sorry, but this is to good to comment on…. nothing really happening right now in my life…so lets talk about what is going on with Tom. I know you can read about it all over the net….but they won’t have my comments on it…LOL leave yours if you want. I think this could have some good comeback’s. Just remember to try and be intelligent when you do. Don’t want to look stupid in front of ‘Tommy Boy’.

What ever happened to the Tom Cruise in Top Gun? He could fly a fighter, ride a crotch rocket, and steal the girl with the best of them. LOL

Later,
JC
