Pirate treasure located!

Pirates to the rescue!
"Pirates to the rescue!"

Well, Kade came home – could barely finish his meal – kept his treasure map right beside him the entire time – checked it a few times while eating – then it was off on the treasure hunt.

We started by sneaking pass the King and Queen’s chairs, then through the darkened archway, up the stairway of rest, through Kade’s wash, braved the darkness of Keagan’s cave with only flashlights and a crude map – across the pirates landing – to the doorway of Tooties hideout!

There we stood, half amazed we had made it this far, and half afraid to take one step further. Then I saw it “There it is!” I exclaimed. Kade jumped and stepped back with fear, then inched forward to gaze at where my flashlight fell. “There is a treasure!” he yelled, and off into the darkness he went. Under a huge oak tree (oddly in the form of an oak desk in Daddy’s studio) he laid hands on it. “Oh it is heavy” he stated. “Let’s open it!”

We dragged it back to pirates landing to view its contents. After a short inventory and many, many, fast, incoherent words and phrases, we put everything including some more back into the chest. Then we decided it needed to be put somewhere safe where Tootie the pirate could never find it again. Kaden’s castle – fortified, and guarded by the greatest knights ever.

“I have my very own treasure chest” he stated. After a quick bath to wash off the long journey he stated “Pirates to the rescue!” as he ran down the long hallway of his castle to watch a Mickey Mouse documentary and plan his next adventure.
