Life

Ohhhhh Christmas is over!

I know, I know, Christmas is a great holiday and  a great time of year…BUT…I am glad it is over. It seems like we had to wait an extra month for Keagan to come home so we could get to opening gifts and all, even though it was the 26th when she got here.

It was all fun, looking back on it now, and it was not as bad as I made it out to be in the opening statement. LOL No, seriously!

Everyone had a great time visiting and telling stories. We all exchanged some great gifts, and loved watching the kids opening theirs. We missed not having some of the family and friends here this year though. Wished they could have been here.

As with the last few years, it seems this one has blown by also. Feels like it should be about May right now. LOL

I think Jace will post some stuff on her blog…if she remembers how to log in. So I will just tell a little of the gifts I got and let her tell you about hers and the kids.

I racked up again this year. I got the new upgrade to Pro Tools, Pro Tools 8, for my studio. It is really nice. Love it so far. I also got a nice Zoom H2 recorder

for when I am in a songwriting session. Been wanting one of these….glad I did not buy it. The thing is really amazing.

I also got a TC Helicon Harmony G. It is for live shows. I have a little PA system that has one really sorry sounding effect channel, and is only 4 inputs. I wanted to be able to combine the guitar and vocal to one channel….the Harmony G allows that. Also, it has some great effects and allows you to add two part harmonies on the fly. The greatest thing I like about it though is the auto mix feature. It will keep the guitar and vocal ( as well as the harmonies) mixed in relation to one another. It is like having someone on the board for you. Which, you normally don’t have in an acoustic setting or songwriter nights.

I got a really neat knife/hatchet set for hunting. Never seen anything like this…it is really well made and I can’t wait to give it a test run the weekend of the 1st when we go hunting again. Check this thing out in the picture below.

Sweet!
Sweet!

I got some really needed things too. Socks and underwear! …oh yeah and some cash!

Jace did pretty good too….iPhone and all….yes I am jealous. I’ll let her rub it in on her blog though.

I’ll stop being a kid now, and telling you about my toys…I just want to get off here and go play with them! LOL

So I love all y’all. I hope you had a great Christmas and may God bless you all through out the new year. You can all see some pictures here.
