Press record

Well thanks to my daughter, Keagan, I have all the levels, gate, and compressions set in my studio. Well for the most part. She was a huge help. Beating the drums for me, pressing record so I could cuts some tracks just to see how they sounded, and all the little things that you need that second person for.

I think she had a good time too. I told her she was finished and if she wanted to take a break she could. So she decided to go down stairs. I came down not long after she did and she was busy telling her mom all that she did. She was using terms like ” I helped him set the gate on the kick” & ” We had to set the levels so we won’t clip”. LOL I was rather impressed with her.

So, yeah I am pretty much ready to hit record. I have been doing some research and there are a few changes I want to do to my current studio setup, but I am in no hurry. I’ll wait until someone else wants to buy my current setup and go from there. This setup will certainly suffice on quality. It is just a personal change I want to try.

We did some movie watching this weekend as well. One of the movies we watched was “The Case for Faith”. I had read a book that Daddy had titled “The Case for Christ” by the same author. It was a bit slow, but very informative for any one who has harbored doubt – which I am sure we all have at some time to some amount. The movie was summed up with Proverbs 2:3 and if you call out for insight

       and cry aloud for understanding,

4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,

5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God.

I’ll close with that as well. Since that about wraps up what we’ve been doing besides work, school, and life.
