Hacked!?

The images to the left is what I saw when my wife told me to look at our blogs. HACKED? Man there are some people out there who just have nothing better to do. Last night I received an email stating someone tried to reset the password for my account on my brother’s blog.

I figured he had forgotten his password and username – and was trying to reset his. I went to bed thinking nothing more about it.

This morning my wife tells me that our blog’s have been hacked. Her blog, and mine. All of the other sites I administer were fine. I keep these updated on a weekly basis and was not sure what had allowed it or caused it. So I contacted the security team that I host with.

Within minutes they had our sites back up and running, but I am still not sure why or how it happened. I did have to go in and manually reset our WordPress passwords in the database. I also took a few other precautions and changed other passwords. It would be nice to know what other measures I could take to prevent it in the future.

Seems, to me, they got in using the admin accounts because they changed our admin emails to a non complete email address. I updated that as well. I found it weird that someone would want to hack our sites. Non the less, they suck, and we won. Hack it again, I would love for you to get caught. LOL Better yet, hack something that you could gain something from. A personal blog, by people who are far from famous….really. Were you bored? Oh wait….must not be much of a “hacker”…because it’s not like we set out to make it super secure….it’s a freaking blog! So I guess the “Hackers” were graduates of the remedial hacking class. MHMR of hackers. LOL

Not much more excitement going on out here other than being hacked – and it was not that exciting. LOL

What a bunch of loosers – hack two personal blogs. What did you accomplish? Well – I will tell you. You have added yourself to my list of “stupid people who need a good country boy whoopin”.
