Life

I can’t help it…sometimes I get extreme…

statueYou know, it is no secret I don’t care for the direction our great country is going. So, to help make light of it best I can…to keep from going crazy… I have re-written the poem by Emma Lazarus, “The New Colossus”. It is the one on the Statue of Liberty.

If we keep going the way we are going we’ll have to change it to something like this:

The New new Colossus
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A worn out woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “I am tired, we are poor,
We are huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of our teeming shore.
We are these, the homeless, tempest-tost to, you and me,
I lift my lamp beside the card-board door!”

Now, at the same time I still have hope in this country and that God will deliver us to a better way . God Bless The United States of America!!!!!!!!!!!
