    Oh the Thanksgiving Holidays…

Well, I officially went on vacation Thursday, Nov. 18th. I planned on doing some hunting that day, but had too much to do around the house. Saturday we played a 4 hour gig at Jack & Diane’s in Lubbock. We ended up getting a 1 hour set for the Make-a-Wish Foundation gig on December 11th. They are raising money for two children with cancer. So please come out if you get a chance. They will be giving all sorts of prizes away….more to come on that. We got home from the gig around midnight – so we did not leave Lubbock until around 9AM. We arrived in Henderson around 5:30PM.…

    Veterans Day 2010

Just wanted to put out a big heartfelt thanks to all the veterans we have out there. Please know that there are those of us who understand the sacrifice you willingly put up to serve our great nation. I know some folks who don’t understand the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans day. So I thought I would help explain it – if I can.

    Lubbock County Fair – 2010

The weather played nice for us today and it really made the plans of going to the County Fair pay off. We all had a great time. Keagan, Kaden, and even Jace and I got to ride a couple rides. He would get really mad when we would be stopped at the gate to wait for the next load of people to be allowed on. He did not understand the rules completely. LOL He…

    Jack & Diane’s 9-11-10

Well my lovely wife and I went out last Saturday and after eating we decided we would go have a drink and listen to some live music. We heard them advertise a place called Jack & Diane’s. So off we went to find it. We finally found it on the far north part of town, sort of out in the country. It was a small place, and not many there, but we decided we could give it a shot. A band played that night, won’t mention their name, but they were not that great. A guy came by our table and asked what we thought of the band – and…

    Dove season – fun!

Well I have to admit being from East Texas we never dove hunted much. I knew people who would talk about their trips to West Texas to bird hunt. Since moving out here – I’ve learned that almost everyone hunts birds. I just never took the time to go try, mainly because it costs too much money to get a place to hunt. This year, however, Nick called and was telling me we could hunt some property Oxy owns. It was about 30 minutes from the house which was nice also. So we loaded up and went Saturday morning. I have to say, it was a blast. Lot’s of shooting…
