Well I just could not sit here. I had to get the run roof completed before the wind kicks up Monday. Daddy and I got it completed. All that’s left is Keagan needs to paint and I need to build the door, put on the wire, cut the vent windows, build the window covers, get the feeder and waterer built and installed and we should be good to go. Started building the run today. It’s a temporary/permanent structure. Meaning we will use it in this form until the well house/shop. At that time we will attach the run to the side of the shop and use the back portion to allow a longer run down the side and around the corner of the building. Anyway – daddy helped. It was good to have his guidance. I think I might have worked him a little too much in the west Texas sun. We are taking the next few days off for fun with the kids. Their spring break ends Sunday night. Then it’s back to school.

Will be working on the coop/run, and garden over the next couple of weeks between all the other stuff that is planned for me. I started a two week vacation. Plan on resting and relaxing and doing things around the house for the most part. Today – this is what I accomplished. Not much, but I am hand sawing. My saw gave up the ghost. It’s a good work out. Worked on the coop today. My bad back slowed me down a bit – again. Kaden picked out sky blue with white trim for colors. Everyone helped paint. I did not have all the trim ready so it will have to wait. Lowes was out of tin for the roof. I had just enough scrap siding to use it as a sheathing for the roof. Good thing, because we will have a little rain this week. I only work 4 days this week then taking a couple weeks off. I will finish the coop and run during that time.
