Life

I’ll be home for Christmas… la la la ;)

Well today was my Friday at work…an early one that will have me there for a long stay.

I will be departing the Lubbock International Airport at approximately 8:10 am in the morning. I will arrive in Houston at 9:45. Then, Stephen and Nicki will be there to give me a ride to Lufkin. The entire trip, from Lubbock to Lufkin, will take about 3 hours. Verses the 7 plus hours it would take to drive – not counting holiday traffic. So this is the way to go!

I will be meeting with the moving company for my relocation to the Lubbock area while I am in Lufkin. They are going to assess the job of moving me, then pack and load everything while I am there. So that will be a relief. I am really wanting to get my stuff out here where I am. The living out of a suitcase kinda slerps.

When I get back, I hope to be miving in a 2 bedroom duplex. This will be temporary until I decide on a home. Nick and I went to look at it and I think it will be fine for a while. I can try and save some money, and look around at houses before buying. The duplex is in the same house where Nick and Pepper lived when they first moved out here to Post. A friend that also goes to Caprock Springs Fellowship, just bought the duplex. I am hoping he is willing to rent it out at a rate that will allow the money saving to happen.

Speaking of Caprock Springs Fellowship… I have started a web site for the church. I am hoping to have it finished near the end of January. I would like to put up some of the sermons in mp3 format, pictures, devotionals, lessons, announcements…all the good stuff. I hope everyone at the church is willing to accept my ideas and assist me by taking on some of the updating of content on the site. Be sure to keep an eye on it… www.caprocksprings.com. Nothing but a splash page right now…but it is in the works.

We opened our stockings tonight. Yep, I said we. Nick, Pepper, Aaron, Jude, and I. They got me a stuffed Nemo, and a stocking full of stuff. I thought that was really nice of them. For all of you wanting to know why I would want a stuffed Nemo….well I am sure you’ll make up your own reasons – but it is because I have a salt water aquarium with two clon fish (nemos) in it. The boys picked it out and it was cool, and unexpected.

Aaron recited Luke chapter 2, by himself, word for word. It was awesome, since he is only 4 years old. Then Santa brought them some other gifts and ‘Uncle’ James got them a 10 gallon aquarium. Nick and I, in our sick, demented way of thinking, decided to give them the bag of rocks first and tell them that was all I got them. It was pretty funny. At first Jude just looked at them as if he was thinking “what the crud am I gonna do with a bag of rocks?”. Aaron kept asking what they where for, and finally, when he had decided he would paint each one – LOL – we showed them the aquarium. LOL They liked it, which made me feel good. I promised that we would get fish when we all got back from the holiday travel.

Well, just wanted to update the blog a bit. I am packed and ready to fly home tomorrow. So me and my stuffed Nemo are going to bed. LOL

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and ask that God continue to pour out His blessings on you, your family, and friends through out the new year. Happy birthday Jesus!

Luke Chapter 2

7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Merry Christmas!
