Byt the time you read this…we will be on our vacation and loving every minute of it. I am not trying to rub it in too much, but hey this vacation is well deserved by all of us. It has been a rough year, and though it has calmed down and we’ve all adjusted fairly well – thank God, we just need to get away.
We’ll be doing some swimming, hiking, fishing, and most of all be laid back and enjoying the beauty of south Texas’ Devil’s river, and Lake Amistad. It is a cheap vacation as well. No plane tickets to buy, no reservations to make, no rooms to pay for, etc. The weather looks to be cooler down there than here in Lubbock, and it looks to be clear instead of raining like it is in Lufkin. Just had to drop that bit of information to make you all reflect on your weather. LOL
We do have a little work to do. We need to fix the carbs on the fishing boat, which should be simple to do now that I have had nearly a year to think about it. They gummed up on us back in December when we went down for a hunting trip. So, I guess I’ll have to spend one day working – darn it! Is it considered work if you’re doing it to have more fun?
Anyway, please keep us in your prayers while we travel and all. Here’s hoping you get to take a great vacation soon as well.
