Life

Rain, rain, needed rain.

Well, it is finally raining out here. I have almost forgot what rain was like. After some discussion – it seems it has been nearly 160 days since it really rained here. So it is an answer to alot of prayers.

We also started a new study on Sunday evenings at church. TrueFaced. Tonight was the first night, and it was awesome so far. I am looking forward to seeing how God can use this. Here is what the book/experience is about:

TrueFaced draws a clear distinction between two very different underlying motives: my determination to please God or to trust Him. The resulting difference from these two starting points could not be more profound. One results in a striving that never feels it has done enough to please Him. The other results in a trust that experiences His full pleasure. Our motives as followers of Christ will either keep us in unresolved sin and immaturity or free us into God’s astonishing dream for our life.

I am sure I will do my take on the lessons as they sink in. So keep watching for my review. LOL

I have had an unusually awesome week. Just been extremely happy. Not that I am a depressed or mad person all the time….just been really happy this week. Had a good night out in Lubbock Thursday night. Nick and I did some running around town and met up with another friend from work to watch the US vs. Mexico game. Then the band did a Firday & Saturday equipment test/practice. It went really well – still need some help getting the monitor mix the way we want it. Going to call in some experienced people to help out on that. They sound better – but still not what we want.

The band played this morning at church. It was a last minute decission, but it went really well.

Anyway, just wanted to drop a what’s been happening here to ya’ll. I added a few pics in the gallery under Bike rides, and all.

Take care,
James
