Nick dances to South First Band!

SFBgrp.jpgOk so it has been a little while since I made a post. So here is what’s been happening and mostly what’s not been happening.

South First Band came out last Thursday. It was nice to hang with them again…always makes for a long day/night…but always a blast. I left work early – met them in Post around 4:30PM, and rode with them to the Blue Light.SFBgrp.jpg

It was a good night. Sold a few CD’s & T-Shirts, and they earned some new fans. Nick and Pepper came out for the night – it was their first time to hear SFB live….they had a good time. nickpep.jpgNick even danced! LOL (sorry Nick….had to tell) After some conversation days later…he had not danced since his high school days….and it showed. LOL Love ya man! Pepper was happy though. Now Nick will be a dancing machine. I can hear him singing “Fame! I’m gonna live forever…”. LOL

The boys in the band got to stay with me in the ‘Post Projects’, and headed out to the next show the following morning. Looks like I will have the privilege to hang with them in the studio in San Antonio for a few days next week. We are also talking about doing some live recordings of some shows coming up at the end of the month. So … sounds like I will be having some fun.

frns.jpgDoug, Mark, and I have been doing some song writing. Doug and I played at the Blue Light last Monday. Went well. We did a new song we had written literally 20 minutes before we got there. We are trying to find a dang drummer. We’ve come across every other type of band member … including some female singers … but no drummers yet.

Other than that, it is life as normal – work. I did write a song about Salt Creek. I recorded it and emailed it the guys at work. It was just for fun & laughs though. I think all the boys at work enjoyed it too. I guess I will know when I report to work next. May be pursuing music sooner than I had expected. LOL I’ll post the words to it on the Songs page when I get them typed up…and you’ll be able to hear it on the Music page.

Well, my stomach is telling me to eat a steak…. so I am off to grill one.
