Life

Love getting news from home…

mailbox.jpgLife has been pretty good out here in the middle of no where….until I get my weekly email update from my mom. Not verbatim, but it went something like this….

From mom “Your Uncle “Elbow” was in an accident near the house. He ran a stop sign and was struck by a tractor-trailer rig. They think he may have had a mild heart attack. He is in the hospital with a concusion. He is fine otherwise. Kelly was told she may have two types of cancer. The church is praying for her. Your great Grandma has double pneumonia . She is pretty bad. They took James down to Galveston. The specialists said there was nothing they could do.”

Now like I said…that’s not verbatim, but you get the point. Seems like the family is kind of bad off right now. So, please remember all of them in your prayers.

In other news…

I had a cool moment, which was a first for me…my step father called me and asked me a question about guitar playing…about a chord on a song…it was a key change in Alan Jackson’s version of How great thou art…..I helped him out… So now I guess grasshopper has taught the master something LOL Is this possible? Did the grasshopper snatch the penny from the hand of the master? LOL
In my spare time…LOL I’ve been looking for a house in Lubbock. The one I wanted to make an offer on…yeah someone beat me to it. I am not in to much of a hurry though. My original plan was to wait until Feb. or March of next year anyway. Guitar center is getting a fair share of my money for the toys I need to fullfill my addiction hobby.

In closing…

I uploaded some songs to the site, and took the password protection off…so everyone can listen. Only catch is…you have to email me some honest feedback on the songs. We need it.

Doug and I got together and recorded just us doing originals with acoustic guitars. Some of the words were forgotten, some left out, and a bunch of mistakes…we just wanted to get the songs out there where we could get some feedback on them. There are a couple that have drums, bass, etc. in them …. that would be yours truly playing all the instruments and singing….so laugh until you heart is content. None the less….listen, and email me some feedback. I don’t care who you are, or if you like it or not…but I do want to know your honest opinion.
Click on the music link on the upper right of the home page. The mp3 player will allow you to scroll through the songs, pause, rewind….yeah I hope you can work it. LOL

Until next post,
JC
