Good weekend

Decided to go to Lubbock area this weekend to visit some friends. Long drive, but well worth it. The last few times I’ve been out, we’ve been to busy to just really relax and visit with no agenda. This time we had no real set schedule.

Got off work early Friday, went to Tyler and picked up my driver LOL. We had a good talk about..well everything. She drove from Tyler to Sweetwater, during which I got about 2-3 hours sleep. Then we switched and I finished out the drive. We arrived at their house about 4AM.

Then I was woke up by a little voice saying “Uncle James, breakfast is ready.” LOL That was a different way to wake up, uhh the breakfast part, and the Uncle James part…not the little voices.

We basically just hung out, went to the park with the kids, went to the church Saturday night where we wrote a new song, played some music at the Church Sunday morning, caught a movie Sunday night, and I ended up with a new pet…a baby snapping turtle. Yep, I kept it and gave it a home… don’t ask. LOL

It was nice not to have a schedule to try and keep, I did not work all weekend, which is unusual for me. The weather was nice, the food was great, and the friendship and relaxation was priceless.

Now I find myself back in the bump and grind again, but it is not as bad after a relaxing weekend like the one that just past.

I apologize for such a boring post, but I will end it with a link to our song we wrote. Listen to it, let me know what you all think.
I will believe

Until next time,
JC
