Makin’ my semi-anual East Texas trip!

Well I drove back to Lufkin today. I have not been home since the first of June, so I was well over due. Feels good to see everyone.

I left straight from work since I was pulling the night shift. Made good time, and the drive was nice. I arrived right after my parents had returned from church. So the timing was perfect. I was greeted by their new pups…a chocolate lab and a black lab…both which seemed as if they were bored to death and wanted to play. So after being licked to death, I went inside and started my visit.

Jack, Lindsey, and Jayme Lynn came over and I got to visit with them. Jayme Lynn reminded me that I had not been home in a while and missed her birthday….then suckered me out of money. It did not take much for me to give in. LOL

We all ate some huge T-bone steaks and then watched the Pixar movie Cars. LOL Such a nice family evening. Five adults and one 10 year old watching a really cool cartoon, and stuffing ourselves with steak.

So, I showered and went to bed when everyone left for the evening, but here I am up again because I can’t sleep…and yes, it sucks! I want to be fast asleep right now so I can get up early for some serious visiting around town. Thought maybe a quick blog would tire me out. So far, not looking good.

Anyway, I am sure I’ll post some stuff up this weekend, for now I am going surf the web, TV, and work on some songs…yes…all at the same time.
