Married with children…

dcp_0294.JPGI used to watch that show…now I live it….kind of. LOL Jace and I got married this weekend. It was nice – fun – and we did it in record breaking time.

Jack was already out here to help me move and do some job searching. So Lyndsi and my parents came out Friday. They made it to the apartment in Lubbock and after a short rest we went to eat. We visited for a short while then it was time to hit the sack.

We headed down to Andrews, TX Saturday around 11:00. Stopped to eat at Mi Pueblo, and then off to the country club. We got there in plenty of time to setup the small acoustic set, tune up and run through the song once.

dcp_0301.JPGI met some of Jace’s family and friend’s – Dr. Slaughter and his wife were there. Kade (Kaden – my new 3 yr old step son) came strolling in all decked out with the ring pillow….with the real rings tied to it. I saw something hit the floor and roll away. It was my wedding ring…I asked where is hers? (Jace’s)… I got the repy..”it is on the pillow”. Uhh…no it is not. So after a small bit of panic and searching ‘lil man’s’ steps – Jack located the ring. Thank you Jesus.

I told Kade he was gonna have to mow a lot of yards to work that off – which he replied “Jaaaammmmeeesssss”. In a “now come on man you’re kidding me” delivery.

So, yeah we got the rings under control and every one was seated, preacher and I in place and ….here we go.

Typlical, standard mode of events….Bride comes in, “her mother and I” – a bit of good preaching, prayer, hold hands, exchange vowels….pray again ….light the unity candle….then I had Jack join me on guitar and background vocals for me doing “Making memories of us” by Keith Urban. Then we held hands some more, kissed, prayed, presented the new Mr. and Mrs. Clark, and ate.

We received some really nice gifts and money. We wished we could have done it bigger – with everyone here…wait…ok I’ll tell the truth….I liked it this way…this is the way everyone should get married….without all the ‘hoopla’. I do wish we were better located so everyone could have gotten there without loosing days of work and driving 8 hours then renting rooms. We’ll make the rounds after we get back from our honeymoon. We’ll throw a big eating at mom’s in Lufkin for my people. LOL

dcp_0306.JPGWe are headed out to Sea World for the kids tomorrow early. We’ll come back around Wed. night. Then it is off to Jamaica around July 21st for a week or so.

I got the new position with Oxy I put in for, and Jace starts her new job on the 4th of June. So we have a lot to get lined out.

My new job will be nice, since the main office is in Levelland, so that’s only about 30 minutes from the new house. I’ll have more details when I know more. I just got the call Friday that I was selected for the job and it was mine. That is about all I know.

So I will close, and say thank you all for the prayers and gifts. I hope everyone will send us more pics.
Love ya’ll.

Later,
James
