New job with windshield time

Well, I started my new position within Oxy last Friday. So, far I’ve been meeting people, getting setup with different accounts, phone, etc. and yes…traveling. I feel like I have seen half of the US in just under a week. Guess all that time in a patrol car will pay off as training.

I feel it was a great move for me in the company. I think I will be better utilized in this position. It comes with a lot more responsibility and some pretty big shoes to fill, but I am sure that I will be successful in do time. Plus, it is what I enjoy doing…’computer stuff’.

I spent this week going to several sites in West Texas. Most of them south of Lubbock, and one in the Levelland area.

We left Lubbock this morning around 6:30 AM and headed toward one of our locations in Bravo Dome New Mexico. I met some of the people I will be supporting there, and was familiarized with the location and its IT equipment. It is a very remote location to say the least.

I enjoyed the trip though since it was my first time there. Everett, the person whom I am replacing said the new would rub off soon though. LOL

At the moment I am in Pueblo Colorado. We have rooms here for the night and will be headed to the Sheep Mountain, CO location early in the morning. Where we will begin some assessments of their IT equipment and the location’s setup.

I will take some pictures tomorrow and put them up with a new post sometime this weekend. Right now the wind is blowing 25mph and it feels like home (Lubbock). LOL

So here are some prayer requests to keep in mind…and I’ll post again this weekend sometime.

Jace’s father is in the hospital with breathing trouble. Please pray for him.

My grandma Nacy has just went through open heart surgery and is home now. She is feeling a little bad today. Please continue to pray for her.

…and while you are at it…pray for Jace and I….nothing in particular…but just that we continue to give God the glory for all the blessings that have been poured out to us lately. We’ll be trying out a new church this weekend…so add that too. LOL

That’s all for now…
JC
