My #32 birthday

Yeah, so I am 32 now. I feel and look just about the same as I did at 31, but no where near the same as when I was 17.

I been working pretty long hours at work. We’ve been deploying to some new asset’s we purchased. The deployment started last Sunday. I thought that was a weird day to do things, but I am not the boss. It has been going pretty well. We have the locations nearest us completed. That leaves the ones in Colorado, and Oklahoma to complete. So I may get some windsheld time before long.

My birthday – the most important thing I can think of that passed recently..was good. I had a really good time with my family and friends. My step daughter wrangled me a new drum set, which is super cool and pictured to the right. It will work out fine in the homefs-natural-charcoal-burst.jpg studio and for the kids to learn on if they want. I can’t wait to see if they start playing seriously. So far, it is only when I set down to practice or write. Then it turns into a full fledged jam session that resembles something like an LSD party with Carlos Santanna and the boys. LOL It is always fun..or funny.

Jace has her own guitar now. An Ibanez acoustic/electric. She has been learning and practicing a lot lately. She’s getting pretty good. Who knew I would have such an influence. LOL

voodooamps.gifI sent my Marshal JCM 800 to Voodoo Amps. I am getting it modified by them, and can’t wait t get it back. Jace and I went shopping today, and of course stopped by Guitar Center. I picked up an Ibanez guitar and plugged into a Crate amp. It was freaking amazing. I was shocked that a $300.00 amp and a $400.00 guitar could sound like that. I was dive bombing, bending…everything. It never went out of tune! It sounded amazing! It could scream, and had some ballsy sounds to it as well. I may just have to get one of these. LOL I was playing stuff I did not even know I could play. I started writing a new song while there….so I will finish it …then buy one…to record it. LOL

We spent the 4th by going finishing at a private lake that Oxy owns. We had fun to say the least. Jace, Leeane, Niki, Kaden, Ethan, and I went. Niki was the only one who would help me take the fish off the hooks and bait them. The boys (both only 3) were scared of the fish. They liked catching them, feeding them, and all that…but would not touch them to save their lives. Here are pictures of that –

Fishin’

Anyway… the house now has a slab poured. We can’t wait until it is finished. Here are some pics of the progress thus far.

Other than that…we’re just waiting for a week or so to pass so we can head for Jamaica!!! Whoo hoo.

Until something more happens…later!
