Chemical Weed Rocks!

Well, I got wrapped up in a left field debate with Nick lately…so I neglected blogging about stuff that matters…having fun, family, and friends. LOL

So here is a re-cap of the adventurous life of me!

Father’s day – wow my first one. Keagan and Kade both wanted to stay home from Daycare with me on Friday since I was off. I thought that was nice. We went to town for lunch – had Chinese – our favorite. Then Keagan made several cards for me, and they bought one that was pretty funny. Inside it was a gift card to Guitar Center. Man my kids know me.

I bought a couple sets of strings, two new (nice) harmonicas, and got the kids each a harmonica. Knew they would want to make some noise with me. Plus I could not resist the urge to have a house full of noise going to see the reaction on Jace’s face. LOL I almost went completely evil and bought them in different keys, but I refrained.

Kade, as you can read on Jace’s blog, ended the T-ball season Saturday. He was awarded with a trophy, plenty of pictures, and an ice cream from Coach Daddy. He was completely upset that he did not get to play though. I blamed that part on Coach Mario. LOL sorry Mario.

So I spent last week in class for work. It was and Automation mathematics course. Pretty tough – but I passed. I made approximately a 150% improvement from the 1st day of class to the last…and I still have a job. Lot’s of training to go to in the future as well.

On the fun side of things. I was ordered by my wife to go Sunday afternoon and buy Rock Band for the Wii. I carried out those orders and purchased the last one they had available. Luck beats tactics every time.

I sat it all up, called Craig & Angela, and we started a band. That game is really fun, especially when you’re a little crazy like me. See Jace’s post for some funny video’s of us playing. We decided, after a few pratice runs, we were ready to start a (virtual) band. We needed a name, I knew what to call us.

There is a company that sprys weeds out at all our facilities at work called Chemical Weed Control. I saw some T-shirts they were wearing one day that said “Chemical Weed”. I thought that would be a cool name for a band. Everyone would think it had to do with drugs…LOL

After hearing us practice on the game – I thought we were on drugs – so…we voted and it was.

I only knew a few of the songs, which I learned makes it easier for me. If I don’t know the song I am more likely to do well. If I know it, I have a tendency to try and play the drums or guitar as it should be played on the real instrument. That will not work – there are no strings on the guitar and no cymbals on the drums. LOL

Anyway – I was glad we bought it. American Idol was starting to get old. Same songs over and over.

‘till next time!
