Hit the books, hit the gym!

Training, training, and some more training. It is all good! I need it, in every area of my life right now…been in a slump. LOL

Well, looks like I will be taking some training for work April. I am looking forward to it too, it will get me a ACDHS v10.3 certification. It is the Mac OS X Help Desk Essentials Course. Since part of my job at work is to answer corporate help desk tickets, and I am a fairly new Mac addict, I asked if I could take some training in this area.and whoo hoo, they said yes.

I also started hitting the gym 5 days a week twice a day now. I am mid way through my first week, and yes.I am sore. LOL been at least 3 years since I got serious about moving some iron. A good friend of mine who is a pro body builder, is back in town, so we worked up a deal. I will build him a web site for his pro body building, and he well train me. So far, so good, I am just waiting to get through these first few weeks of pain. LOL

It is amazing the strength one can loose when you have a sit down in front of a computer all day job. I miss being in shape, and want my strength back..bad! So I am doing my cardio on my lunch break, shower, grab a light lunch, then back to work. Found that I can eat something small at my desk while I am working. Then in the evenings, I hit the iron. I hope to see some gains after week two.

Believe me, I will keep you posted on this.

I found this while reading the news this morning, and could not help but comment on it and share it with yall. Yeahits the geek in me.

The king of computer software Bill Gates has received an honorary knighthood from the Queen.
Mr Gates, 48, the world’s wealthiest man, said it was “a great honour” to be recognised for his business skills and for his work on poverty reduction.
The Queen had spoken to him about using computers, he said after a private audience with her.
As an American citizen he cannot use the title “Sir” but will be entitled to put the letters KBE after his name.

Now that Sir Gates.I mean Mr. Gates.sorry Mrs.Queen lady person anyway, now that Mr. Gates is a Knight maybe he can saddle up on his trusty steed, assemble his army in Richmond and try to protect his IE empire. NOT!

FireFox, I included it in my article May I recommend ( http://clarksite.com/?postid=39 ) is a free Mozilla web browser that is causing the Knight and his army some small problems. To me it is nice to see the people of the world getting smarter.

Firefox continues its growth against Microsoft’s Internet Explorer as more users switch to the free Mozilla web browser. Internet Explorer now holds less than 90 percent of web users in the United States.

Meanwhile, Microsoft appears to be getting ready to more directly battle Firefox. The company shifted it strategy this month by announcing plans to release IE 7.0, an update focused on security and to be launched outside of a general Windows release. Make sure you keep and eye out for the new site I am making for Joey. I will post it, as well as add it to the list on my site when it is completed. Maybe it will have some tips that you can use to get back in the gym yourself.

Later,
JC
