Back to school

Tomorrow marks another first day of school for Keagan. We spent the day today finishing up on some shopping, which seemed like a day of buying shoes. LOL I think we bought 4 pair of shoes for her. I remember when I was growing up we had one pair of “school” shoes, and one for chores/play. WOW, I think I am getting old.

My wife also allowed me to get a new guitar amp, which I am completely ‘pumped’ about. Trying to use the ‘in’ words, so I can feel younger. LOL I got a sweet Vox AC15 Custom Classic. I guess from

playing on my Marshall JCM 800 (1984 model) I’ve grown to prefer the “british” sounding amps. I really leaned toward this one because of the tremolo and simplistic design. It is just straight up tube amp. One channel, and tweak your tone from there.

It will be a good gig amp. Smaller, lighter ( not by much) than the huge JCM 800 and 4×12 cab, and lower wattage. I should be fine with this amp and one overdrive pedal. Plus it will keep me from tearing up the Marshall, which is not being made any more, and I spent a fine penny on when I had it modified by Voodoo Amps.

Needless to say I am happy.

Kade is a little sick. He acts fine, but he has a small case of well…trips to the bathroom. So he is on his way to his Grandparents for the next few days. We did not want to run the chance of having to pick him up from Day Care early and all. He was pretty happy to get to go though.

Anyway, Keagan is getting ready for bed, I am getting ready to hear all about the first day at school. She has a brand new, fresh built school, three blocks from the house, most of her old friends in her class, and gets to play on the computer some this year. I am sure there will be some stories.

Until later,
