Rita – behind us now…

Well the storm is well behind us now, and the clean up is in full swing. Thought I would post a “catch ya up” on here.

We got electricity back on Monday night around 9PM. So that was a good thing. My fish were thankful. LOL We were glad to have the AC back, and did not loose to much food in the fridge or freezer. So I guess all is good.

I have worked approximately 72 hours this week in the field. Usually I am in IT, but nooooo had to get out an earn a living this week. It was actually nice to see how the other side of the company works. Learned a lot about the OST, PBX, and DSL side of the business.

People without electricity would see us pull up and thought we were the power company. Nope! Sorry were the phone company. Seemed to disappoint them a little.

Anyway, there are crews, including ours, still putting in long hours on the clean up. I am just thankful we did not get the 22 inches of rain they thought we may get. With the wind damage we sustained to our arial lines, the water would have reeked havoc on our buried lines too. Would not have been pretty.

Keep the crews, and folks who lost so much in these storms in your prayers. Especially to stop the race card being played….
