Mixing – Overton – and the world series

Well been mixing the tracks for the CD – and now I hear the songs even when I am sleeping LOL. Took a trip to Overton on my bike. Houston is one down in the world series.

I already made a post about the band finishing the tracks for the CD. So, I wanted to post about the stuff taking place now. Mixing, EQ’ing, compressing, etc. … did I mention mixing. LOL Actually it is going really well. I have learned a lot in my quest for music production/engineering knowledge. It finally looks like it is paying off a little. I let the guysm and some other folks, hear what I had mixed so far and all were ok with it. Maybe after we get it back from Canada, where it will be mastered, it will sound better.

Today was Jude’s 2nd birthday (Nick & Pepper’s youngest son). I was invited to Overton where the party was. It was nice outside, so I rode the bike. It was a little windy, and cold out – but over all a very nice day for a ride. Did about 156 miles there and back. It was the first time I had actually took the bike for a ride that far without stopping. Most of my riding is doen in town, over to someones house, just short hops here and there. So it was kinda nice to stretch it out for a change.

The bike did good. Ran 70, 80, 90…. and it pulled fine. LOL It was good to see the folks in Overton. Especially Nick and Peppers boys. Aaron & Jude both seem like they have grown 4″ since I last saw them….which was not that long ago. Got to see a few other people I had not seen in a while.

Now on to the World Series. Yes, thank you Jesus, the Astros are in the World Series. Tonight is game 2 Houston is up 1 – 0 at the bottom of the 2nd as I type. They lost game one. Roger did not look like he was feeling to good, and the hits just were not there……. ok you can go to MLB.com or ESPN.com for more of that…. what you won’t find on those other sites is this analysis:
Chicago is 0-2 on singers. LOL that comes from my good friend Joe. He called to tell me that after hearing the man sing the national anthem opening tonights game. LOL

That seems like a good place to close – so Go Astros!
