Lufkin to Lubbock and back again…

Well the trip to Lubbock went well. Weather was nice – people friendly – and uhh , oh yeah the interview…well read on to see how it went.

Went out to the plant on Sunday evening. Nick showed me the way, showed me around, and introduced me to some folks out there at the Salt Creek Plant. On the way out we spotted a lot of West Texas deer and hogs. Saw a really nice buck. Nick exited the plant at the south gate. Which was an awesome ride and view. LOL Made a mental note not to ride my motorcycle out the south gate – much less my suv unless it was an extreme emergency. LOL

We got back to the house and grilled up some nice rib-eyes and all. Went to bed fairly early for the Monday morning interview.

Monday morning – well I got there about 30 minutes early, went over to the building where Nick was. Had him take me over and introduce me properly and all. Then it was the good cop bad cop interview for the next hour. I felt the questions were very well thought out. I guess the most important thing was the fact that I felt I answered them very well. Honestly and straight forward. I figured the butter up would be too much – I trust if God wants me out here – He’ll put me out here.

So now it is all waiting. They told me it would be around two weeks tops before they new anything. I was pretty much the end of there interview process – which I felt was a good thing. They were very glad I flew out on such a short notice. LOL I was just glad they asked me to come out.

Looked at a few houses out there. Plan on getting things ready to buy as soon as I get word of the job. I found 4 houses in Post that I would not mind living in. Post would be a better location due to where the plant is located, Nick, Pepper and the boys are there, church, and some friends.

So – keep me in your prayers. I really want this to be God’s will or I would assume stay right here until He directs otherwise. Seems all my friends would rather me go to West Texas than overseas.

Oh yeah!! I added an MP3 player to the music page – hit the link at the top called ‘Music’. Just me messing around on there now – but I plan to put some stuff up there soon.
