Ava Grace Clark

Well, our beautiful baby girl has finally arrived. Jace was awesome! You’ll see what I mean by reading more.

Thursday morning, we had to go to the hospital a little earlier than planned due to a small concern with Jace. I won’t go into details – since – well I don’t have to.

Upon our arrival and assessment by the medical staff, Jace was admitted to the hospital. Pawpaw Man and Granny Jo followed us to the hospital in hopes of an early arrival.

Here are the notes I took once we were settled in.

Jace is worried about Izzy pooping in the house while we are gone, and not having any headphones. I agree with the headphones part.
Granny Jo is excited and a bit beside herself I think.
Nurse name is Bobbie (female).  She used to date Kenny Romines’s son. Kenny was my direct supervisor when I work in IT for Oxy. Small world.
They told me I could not run down the hallway yelling ” ima baby daddy, ima babby daddy” disappointed.
Ran home with mom and daddy to get her headphones and grab a bite to eat.
Jace says she has been having contractions every two minutes now. Noon:08
We are waiting. 14:46
Netflix on iPad and Bluetooth earbuds.
Jace finally got to eat. I got her veggie soup and a grilled cheese. Along with some fruit cups.  19:19. Contractions are starting to hurt a bit.
Around 9PM, Jace was hurting pretty bad – so comes the epidural. Soon she was feeling good. We watched a movie then decided to get some rest.
Around 11:30 PM Jace began to hurt very badly. Full staff was called in, and we learn that the epidural has pulled out due to the turning from side to side the nurses wanted Jace to do. After some painful deliberation – Jace decided to have the baby. She did very well I thought. I could see she was very uncomfortable. There was doubt. She made three pushes and there was our baby girl. Everyone was happy. Especially me.
Ava Grace weighed 7.1 lbs and was 21 1/2″ long…and the most beautiful thing you’ve every seen. Perfection. Sorry if I am a bit biased.
Pawpaw man curt the grass in my yard twice while he was here. Granny Jo cleaned and cooked – made Pawpaw help clean too.  Susie ran errands of stuff from the house to the hospital for me so I could shower and all. Everyone was a great help. We are very thankful.
We were pleased with all the medical staff, very friendly, yet professional.
We got to come home Saturday around 2PM. Was nice to be home. Keagan and Kaden are in love. I can already see they are gonna be a great help.
I preached again this morning at church. I shared a message of tolerance and intolerance. I pray God’s message was conveyed and received. I shared Ava’s pictures on the projector before the message – so I had them softened up a bit.
Somehow, when I got home I either pulled a muscle in my ribs – or broke one. This is very inconvenient for moving – any slight movement. Took some pain medication and if it worsens tomorrow I will go seek medical attention. Looking forward to getting back on my feet to help Jace out more.
