Toe mate toe

Why is it not spelled that way?

I need to get my tomato plants this weekend. Had a little going on over the last few days – hopefully i can squeeze that into the schedule this weekend. Keagan’s 17th birthday will be this weekend. She already got her gift, but I guess formalities state we must have a celebrations of sorts. I really don’t want to have to eat a piece of cake.

On the homestead side of things:

Kaden’s chickens are doing well. I rebuilt the roost inside the coop, and later that night I placed them on the roost. Seemed to work, they were still there when I returned 30-45 minutes later to check on them. By the way, they are going in the coop by themselves at night. Sometimes I go out to close the door and a couple will be laying in the doorway. So I push them in. It is progress none the less.

I have everything planted in the garden – minus tomatoes – that I planned on doing this year. Anything else, and I will need to disc up a new garden patch…which may happen next year anyway.

I have the following:

2 – 30′ rows of sweet corn (curious to see how it does)

2 – 30′ rows of blue potatoes

1 – 30′ row of Butte white potatoes

1 – 30′ row of Dark Red Borland’s (red potatoes)….see the theme (Red, White, & Blue)

1 – 30′ row of Blue Lake green beans

1-15′ row of Blue Lake green beans

1 – 15′ row of candy red onions

1-30′ row of superstar white onions

2 – 30′ row of Purple hull peas

1 30′ row containing beets, radishes, and some Italian peppers

1 30′ row of bell peppers (green, red, and orange)

…and I have one 30′ row ready for tomatoes and maybe some jalapeños peppers.

Here are a few pics – because I know some of you can’t read.
