Getting ready for that vacation!

One more short week at work – then we are on our way!

We will have folks coming over to look after the dog and I have William tending chickens. His pay is whatever eggs he gathers and what ever he wants to pick from the garden. Good friend!

Yes, I said eggs. Kaden’s girls have laid there first egg. He was estatic. He was thanking me and telling me how awesome I was – I told him I did not lay the egg – I only found it. (see pictures).

I also got my birthday present. A new fly rod combo and a chest rig. They even got me some flies- a few wooly buyers and what I think are nymphs. Can’t wait to take this to the river. I learned to use a fly rod when I was younger…much younger…almost 31 years ago. I was a little reluctant at first, but I can still manage it well enough. I remembered the knots, and the cast. Brad Pitt won’t have shit on me!!!! (The movie – A River Runs Through It)

Ava Grace had to go today and get her a fishing rod. She learned to cast it in just a few minutes. She is something else. She was trying to imitate me using my fly rod though. So I had to tell her hers was a little different. Jace said if she tries to cast like you while a real hook is on there – then we are in for it. LOL True!

Oh yeah – and Ava has learned to hide – not make a sound – and do it well. See the pic for where I found her. Now it is pretty routine.

Enjoy the pics.
