    Social Networking…

    October 17, 2009 /

Well I closed down my MySpace site years ago. It became old and just let people you really didn’t want to be in touch with you – stay in touch with you. Sure I was as guilty as the next, but I bet you’ll find the same things I’ll list below if you evaluate your social networking accounts honestly. I am not saying social networking is all bad either – or you’ll “die” if you use it. This was just a personal choice.

No ‘Best Case’ Way to Present God, but Many False Ways

    October 15, 2009 /

This is from The Washington Post (original link here). I just wanted to post it here so that maybe others could read it. I hope the Washington Post continues this article series with Mark Driscoll, which The Post describes as “Among America’s most prominent young Christian voices, Driscoll describes himself as “a nobody trying to tell everybody about Somebody.””. Way to go Mark – tell ’em all about Jesus. So I encourage you to read on and share it with others.

    Swine Flu hits home

    October 13, 2009 /

Well – wow – who would have thunk it? My family was a little ill this weekend with what we thought was the common cold. Kaden seemed to look the worse, and had the worse symptoms. Keagan had a little stomach ache and some sniffling. Jace felt bad all over and was coughing. I just felt a little tired and sore – but other than that – felt fine.

    Elbert James Due March 22, 1935 – October 10, 2009 “Uncle Elbow”

    October 12, 2009 /

I thought I would write out my thoughts on Uncle Elbow. It would be my little way of remembering him. One day when I can’t remember anything, maybe the kids will pull all the data off this old blog and read it to me…maybe they’ll skip some of it too. LOL The picture of the guitar – is just because that is the first thing I think of when I think of him. I also thought this old guitar looked like it has lived the same life Uncle Elbow did – a little rough – but still sounds good if you like that style.

This is a little pre-liminary, since the realtor just left – BUT – If anyone is interested, or if you know someone looking for a house in southwest Lubbock – then pass this on. Here is some information on the house that the realtor may or may not display on their listing. I will update this post with more information as soon as I have it. So bookmark this page and come back often.
