Midnight wake up call!

100_0253.JPGSo my lil brother Andrew said he wanted to be the first to wish me a happy birthday on my birthday. He did, he was, and I am gonna kill him. He called, woke me up…well I was in bed almost asleep…at 12:12 AM. So thanks lil brother! Now loose the number. LOL

I decided I would go ahead and make a post then try to go back to sleep.

“With a rebel yell- more, more, more…”

Yeah, so we caught a band at the Courtyard Friday night. We walked in and they’re doing Def Leppard…which was cool. Then they bust out the Billy Idol “Rebel yell” and that topped the night. LOL The dude playing lead did some serious shredding.

It was pretty dead down in the depot since summer semester finals are going, but we did manage to hang with some friends for a little while. I met up with a girl and got to visit with her for a while. Plus – It’s been a while since Nick and I just hung out, so that was cool too.

I did some dancing at Wild West. It’s been a very long time since I danced…but I thought what the crud. Danced enough to work up a sweat. LOL We left there and headed for the iHop. This reminded me of the olden days when we were all still running Jitterbug’s and the places back home. We would close them down then head to the Kettle. LOL Guess some things never change.

Met up with a guy that sings, plays, writes…so we’re trying to schedule a time to jam. We want to see if anything can come of it. He has a song called Dreaming Out Loud. Really good stuff. He was cool to hang with so looking forward to writing and jamming.

The worst part of everything from last night is the smell of cigarette smoke in the morning. Cig’s really don’t bother me that bad, but the smell of them on your clothes and all the next morning. Man it stinks! I was all congested and crap when i woke up LOL. I can hear some one saying…”Serves you right for going to those places” LOL I guess it does….but it was well worth it.

Today – Saturday – Nick and I jammed a little at my house. Nothing special, just wanted to do some playing. He brought over a birthday cake his wife, Pepper, made for me. All I can say is …Pepper rocks! It was made out of my favorite food source – rice crispie treats. LOL It was freaking 3 layers high and had chocolate too. It only had 14 candles so Nick tried to make me light them and blow them out several times until I got 31 of them.

100_0253.JPGThanks Nick, Pepper, Aaron, and Jude for the cake/crispie.

I also had a call from Kuwait. My friend Cade called to say hello. It was good to hear from him. He said he would be home soon, and wanted to go do something. He will be back in San Angelo, which is only about 2 hours from here…so that will be cool. He said he could not check all his emails and MySpace on a regular basis, since the government network won’t allow access to those sites. When he goes…uhh somewhere else…I can’t remember what he called it….he has to pay $5.00/hour for internet access. So he checks his email, makes replies, checks his favorite sites and cashes out!
Look forward to visiting when you get home man – be safe.

I went, tonight and met a girl for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We had a good time, but I had to cut the evening short so I could get home, shower and sleep for work in the morning…but Andrew threw that schedule out of wack with his midnight call. LOL

Now – I am turning the ringers off – cell phone off – computer off – and going to sleep. Remember I am getting old. LOL

So I will close with something for you to think about. Why is it that the people that go to nudest colonies…are the last ones you would want to see at a nudest colony? LOL

To all my friends and family – love ya’ll and thanks for all the birthday remarks – even though most of them had to do something with me getting old as dirt. To those of you who have not contacted me – you better. Love ya’ll,
James
