Home or Studio? – Clark Site dot com

So, here is a new post. I am falling down on the job of making a post as often as I used too, but I have a little bit of a life out here in the middle of no where God’s country.

My house looks more like a studio inside than a home. I have a spare bedroom setup as a tracking room. Treated with Aurlex acoustic foam. A 16 channle snake running down the hall into that room. My dining room is the Control room. It is great! LOL

I have been recording the New Son Band CD. It is coming along on schedule and is sounding great compared to the last stuff we did. I am in love with Pro Tools. I am learning so many new techniques and it is so flexible and easy to work with compared to some DAW’s I’ve used in the past.

We are hoping the CD project is completed around the first of January. We will have it professionaly mastered and replicated. So we are spending a few dollars on this project outside the time we’ve spent and the equipment we’ve bought.

I will keep things updated here and on New Son Band’s sites. (newsonband.com & myspace.com/newsonband) One thing I want to add is…if you want a CD – FREE – then please email me or contact us on our MySpace email. I am personaly going to give 15 Free CD’s away to the first 15 people to contact me. There may be more offered if it looks like people are interested. Please include your name, mailing address, and email when you contact us about your CD. I will post a list of names as they are recieved on the New Son Band sites mentioned above.

Other than that… I almost got screwed on eBay I think. I was trying to purchase a Digidesgin Control 24 for a nice price, and then the person started giving me grief about using PayPal. I used PayPal because they said they accepted that for of payment and I had more security that way. Sooooo to make a short story of it…I have stopped the payment and contacted eBay. Hopefully we will get it resolved and maybe I can still get the unit for that price. If not….I’ll just wait and buy another.

I am addicted to MySpace, and the email issue they are having right now is killing me. Aggghhhh! Get it fixed already!
