Engaged – pissed – and getting healthy

Well had an exciting weekend – so read on…

First things first, Jace (pronounced Jay-see) and I are now engaged! My mom is quoted saying “I am deliriously happy” and “tell her if she ever leaves I’ll hunt her down and cut her finger off…for the diamond not the finger”. So I guess that means she is happy for us. LOL

To kill all the rumors…no she is not pregnant, she is not rich, her parents are not rich, and all the other crap people can think up that I can’t. ….Oh wait I forgot one….no she is not stupid, blind, or deaf. LOL (no offense to the deaf and blind…or the stupid people)

She seems to be able to put up with me and my habits, my temper, my music, and well all my little people (my multi-personalities). She knows how to work, clean, take care of herself, and her children. She’s funny, loves music, …heck she even loves me. Her kids are great and they are so easy to manipulate….they love me too. LOL

We are thinking of getting married sometime this summer, but have not narrowed down an exact date. It will not be a big wedding either. It is the second time for both of us…so we see no since in going and doing all the hoopla. We’ll just have some friends and family over…make them pay a $10.00 cover charge and look each other in the eye…say I do…sign a paper and call it good.

So there’s the gossip…now for the rest of my weekend.

I got a little pissed off this weekend when I was out shopping. Seems I have a $2000.00 spending limit on my debit card. Well…that is not enough for me sometimes. Crap…a good guitar can cost that…or what if my car breaks down?

For you smart people out there…no I do not write checks….no I do not use credit cards ( just paid them all off- debt free baby!!!!) ….and no I do not want to plan out my spending….I like to buy something when I want to, where I want to, with my hard earned money that I put in the bank. So…there will be a trip to the bank tomorrow after the air conditioning people leave.

Speaking of air conditioning….it has been out all weekend here in my apartment. Yes….it got hot. It was around 87 degrees in the house. Hard to sleep or even relax like that. My salt water fish were at the top of the tank with their tongues hanging out trying to stay cool. At least the temperature dropped a little today because of the rain.

Other than that…the CD for New Son Band is finished and it will be sent off for mastering tomorrow. Whoo hoo! Visit NSB’s myspace for more details.

I bought a new treadmill and some cool dumb bells this weekend. They are the Bowflex SelectTech dumb bells. They rock! I got a good work out with them. Nice to have that many different weight bells in only two….it would take up a wall to have that many different weights in a traditional dumb bell. They go from 5 to 52.5 lbs each. That is plenty for a good home work out. We’ll see how it goes over the 6 weeks. After that health report last week…figured I could at least die trying to get healthy.
