Move over David Cook – Jace Clark is the new American Idol
That’s right folks. You heard it here first. Jace Clark is the new American Idol!
After the start of what seems to be a long season of Clark House American Idol (the Wii version) Jace is the reining champ. Beating the long standing American Idol, James Clark. James had held his status as the one to beat after many close competitions, but Jace came out of no where with a performance even Simon enjoyed.
Short re-cap of the last few performances. Last week we had Mario and his very personal version of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Winning the home crowd when he hit “Momma, I just killed a man…”. With veins popping in his neck and tears from the moved crowd; he brought it all home.
Then there was the duets of the night – Jace and Leeann doing several of their favorites and whooing the crowd. But the big duet of the night, last week, was James and Mario with their heart felt version of “Tiny Dancer by Sir Elton John”. This was a night no one would shortly forget.
Now we fast forward to this past weekend’s performances. Angela and her version of “Copacabana by Barry Manilow”, sent the crowd into a frenzy. Craig rocked the house with an heart felt “Sister Christian by Night Ranger”. James unlocked “More than a feeling by Boston” and gave the best performance he could, but in the end fell short – uhh short of breath. Jace took home the crown with her perfromance of “Black Velvet by Alannah Myles”.
There were duets this night as well. Angela and Jace hit the stage (uhh living room floor) with “”Glamorous by Fergie”. But it was unanimous, by the crowd and judges responses that Craig and James took the gold with there sincere version of “”How to Save a Life by The Fray”.
What a night it was folks. More to come I am sure. We’ll see who can be (read the rest with your best Ryan Seacrest voice) “the next…American Idol!”.
