2011 New Years Resolutions

So, better a few days late than never. I needed to think about my New Years Resolutions. I have seen a few people post their’s on FaceBook, and other places. Some of them really great ones too. So I decided I would share mine. It will be fun to look back years from now and see how I did.

On top of all the normal resolutions, which are still very meaningful, I want to add some little ones that would break up the norm a bit for me. I still want to walk closer to Jesus and God’s call for me. I want to at least maintain the little weight loss I have from the injury, and me eating smaller portions. I think I’ll keep that going. Of course I think these are popular resolutions…at least I think they are or should be.

So, here are my 2011 resolutions, as sad as they may seem to everyone else. I hope your year is awesome, and God blesses you greatly.

2011 Resolutions

  • Draw & Paint more. I miss this, and I want to to some sketching on the iPad and the computer since I think it will be a cool format.
  • College – this one is time consuming, but I want to finish my degree. I actually thought the online way would be a bit easier not to mention allow for my schedule. I have found it a bit more difficult actually. Maybe it is just me, but I do.
  • Up the reading a bit more. With the iPad – it makes it a bit easier. I find myself reading two books at once most of the time in the past anyway – now I read for the college and for me. LOL I want to try for 30 books this year – not counting the college stuff.
  • Other than that I want to try to manage my time a little better. Guess that is funny when we are 3 days into the new year and I am just making this post. This will be the most difficult one on my list. I tend to do most things at the spur of the moment. Not that I don’t have goals or think things out. It’s just that a lot of them happen at the spur of the moment. I want to make sure with the college, band, and all my other things I make special time for the wife and family. I am pleased with how things have started out this year. Already two date nights down. It helps keep you grounded.

That’s all I am shooting for this year. LOL May sound like a low aim for goals, but if I reach them, I’ll bid higher next year.
