Happy Birthday to me! 34th

Well it’s my birthday. I’ve been getting phone calls, emails, and facebook comments all day. It is nice to know some people out there still love me. LOL

I’ve had another great year and looks like the next one is kicking off to a good start. Jace and I have decided to purchase 3 acre’s south of the Lubbock city limits. We plan to sell the house and build a new one there along with an apartment/shop/studio. My in-laws will be living in the apartment on the end of the shop. My mother-in-laws health is not well right now, so we all thought it would be better.

Kaden starts K-school this year, and is ready. So are we! He was having a little crisis today – he wanted it to be his birthday instead of mine. LOL Keagan will be moving on to the 5th grade! Wow time flies!

We have a little band together and we are playing a 4th of July celebration this weekend at a friends house. The band is composed of Nick, Jack, Mark, and I. We actually started sounding pretty good since we have only had a handful of practices together. On the 3rd set we switch it up a little. Jack goes from the drums to guitar and lead vocal – Mark goes from bass to lead guitar – Nick goes from guitar to bass – I go from guitar to drums. It was an interesting switch. We will be playing a lot of our originals and some covers we think everyone will like.

I will help Jace clean the house up this morning and then move on to getting everything ready for the gig. I hope some of my fellow band mates will come by to assist. LOL I will need to run to Guitar Center and get a new head and snares put on my snare. Jack can beat the crap out of a drum…LOL…then I try to do it like him.

Well, I need to get off here and get busy before the wife starts beating me! I have had a great birthday and a great year. I thank God for all the family and friends I am surrounded by. I pray He continues to bless us all the way He has this past year.
