Newsflash – Weekend over
Yeah, well not just yet. I am going for a ride on my bike before I call it finished. LOL Just made it back to Post, and my dang air conditioner is not cooling at all now. My poor salt-water fish were almost to boil temperature. There is a nice cool breeze and I have windows so that will do until the repair man gets here. Read on for a brief on Saturday’s events…

Take me out to the ball game….
Oh yeah, in just a few minutes, 12 of us (coined the dirty dozen) will be heading toward Houston for the Astros vs Rockies game. “The Houston Astros scored seven runs in a two-inning span to easily top the Colorado Rockies, 12-2, before a healthy crowd of 39,617 Friday night at Minute Maid Park.” I hope we can see a repeat of this.

Yup, when I got off work this morning at 7am I was singing “East bound and down…” as I headed toward ‘Home’. Big Lufkin, TX. LOL

Curtain call
I figured I had better let everyone know that I have decided to stop playing with New Son Band. I hope the stories that brew up from this, if any, will not be your run of the mill rumors. There is no one to blame, and the reasons are – well – not important to anyone outside the band.

The National Day of Prayer
Next Thursday, May 4, the 55th annual National Day of Prayer, a day when millions of Americans, from schoolchildren to the President will join together to lift our nation before God in prayer. I thought I would send out a reminder a few days early.
