Oh the Thanksgiving Holidays…

Well, I officially went on vacation Thursday, Nov. 18th. I planned on doing some hunting that day, but had too much to do around the house. Saturday we played a 4 hour gig at Jack & Diane’s in Lubbock. We ended up getting a 1 hour set for the Make-a-Wish Foundation gig on December 11th. They are raising money for two children with cancer. So please come out if you get a chance. They will be giving all sorts of prizes away….more to come on that.

We got home from the gig around midnight – so we did not leave Lubbock until around 9AM. We arrived in Henderson around 5:30PM. Had a good easy trip. It was around 80 degrees…and humid – go figure. I did some hunting. My step-Daddy came up and hunted with me – we mainly fought off mosquitoes the entire time we were out there. We had fun none the less.

Our friends in Henderson are always good to see. They are some of the nicest, truly genuine, people I can say I associate myself with. It was a pleasure visiting with them and we appreciate their hospitality.

I also broke away to see my old friend and brother, Chad. We simply sat outside, talked, laughed, I played some songs, and we talked and laughed some more. There is nothing better then catching up with an old friend. We both agreed we would do something to have a guys trip once a year at least. We need to stay in touch more. I wanted to go back again today, before we left for Lufkin, but no luck. His schedule and mine did not meet up for the holidays. We will stay in better touch though.

We made the short trip from Henderson to Lufkin, stopping at the Harley shop in Nacogdoches for a new T-shirt for Kaden and I. My parents were busy getting things ready for the big turkey day. We had some good visit time, then I helped Daddy setup a surround sound system in the living room. LOL

I will be going hunting in the morning with my nephew, Hunter, down in Huntington, TX. If this is the last you hear from me, I died of heat stroke. LOL

Jace, Keagan, and Mia girl (the dog) will be coming down tomorrow. Can’t wait to have them here with us as well.

to be continued…
